Art Card Love

Since the beginning of my painting journey I have created collections of art cards based on my acrylic paintings. This has brought me untold joy as I have had a life-long love of sending & receiving cards. Therefore to have my own art card collections has been amazing. I get really excited when I have a new collection out…some might say a little too over-excited!

I still believe cards are a beautiful way to communicate with people. You don’t have to wait for a special occasion like a birthday or Christmas to send a card. It’s lovely to send a card simply just because. My sister and I often send each other cards with a few well chosen words inside. It means a lot to both of us. When my daughter was at university in London I sent her a card every week. It just felt like such a lovely way to keep connected.

I therefore get great pleasure now knowing that people are buying my cards and I have no idea where they will end up. I know a few have made their way to Australia as my daughter now lives there. I also love seeing which cards they choose as it also gives me some feedback on what paintings are most appealing.

On another note cards are also a way for an artist to showcase their work to people that might not necessarily want or can afford the cost of a painting. In all honesty cards also provide me with a bit of income which is always hugely appreciated.
