My Journey to Art
My JOURNEY to becoming an ARTIST has been a long and winding road, with many bumps in the track. BUT I wouldn’t change a thing. I LOVE being an ARTIST and I’m living a dream I didn’t even know I had.
Below is a letter I wrote to myself. I hope it may inspire someone else & that someone else could be you!
Dear Corinne
You will spend a large part of your life searching. You will think you're meant to be a primary school teacher. You will excel at it...but it will not be good for you. You will say goodbye to this chapter.
You will be an adult educator, a garden nursery worker, a mental health support worker, own a children's wear shop (briefly), be a book keeper & work in admin. You will ENJOY parts of all of them.
You will CONSIDER starting businesses or working abroad & you will run a cancer support charity project. Along the way you will START courses in adult literacy, English as a foreign language, heritage horticulture, book keeping, counselling & possibly more that have been forgotten.
Then one day just like that the SEARCH is over. You find what you've always been looking for...without looking! Nothing has been wasted though. Each of these offered you something. They showed you what you didn't want... and took you closer to what you did. You are an ARTIST. You were always meant to be an artist.
You're finally home.
TRUTH be told you were just looking for YOURSELF all along.
Sent with love from my heart to yours ♥️
